Murdered on March 20, 2010

Steven was shot 10 times by Downey Police. He was a 30-year resident of Downey, California, father of 2 young boys, former football player West Middle School and Warren High School. Steven was a combat veteran of the Iraqi Freedom Conflict receiving several Medals of Valor. Steven was considered a threat to the officers involved because of his shaven head and tattoos with NO criminal record!

The officers who pulled the trigger are facing criminal charges, so why are they still patrolling the streets of Downey? Do you feel safe knowing this? During the so-called "investigation" the officers reveibed a paid leave of absence. NO changes have been make in police conduct or their policies! We want a transformation of the Downey Police Department. It's time to take a stand! Racial and character profiling needs to end!
